It’s always an interesting task to write about oneself. The attributes I admire most, and aspire to cultivate are: humbleness, integrity, strength of character, love of learning, humility, humanity, conscious awareness, living in the present moment, and doing my best in any given situation.
I’ve chosen (or been chosen) to lead, coach, facilitate, and train leaders to incorporate conscious leadership methods into their organizations. I also have the distinct pleasure of working with individuals and groups to empower self-improvement, communication skills and inter-personal relationships.
Here’s a very shot bio which is taken from a recent interview: “Conscious business leader, consultant, trainer and motivational speaker. Under her guidance organizations evolve, as leaders become more enlightened and systems management techniques are implemented; dramatically changing the experience of work for people and the organization.”
Within the framework of the business world, I acquired a broad perspective and understanding of business management and marketing. Like many others, I persevered, through hard work, study, mistakes and successes. I worked my way up the proverbial “ladder,” to assume positions of leadership within several diverse industries. I studied and continue to study with business leaders and masters in the field of human potential.
Fifteen of my years have been dedicated to veterinary and health care administration, (12 in veterinary management.) I served as a Practice Manager, Hospital Administrator, Regional Manager, and Marketing Specialist for a veterinary corporation with 23 hospitals. Currently, I manage a specialty and emergency center with 12 veterinarians and a staff of 80. My experience includes working with small animal, mixed animal, large animal, specialty, and emergency medicine practices. Outside of veterinary medicine, I held leadership positions in other industries, with direct responsibility for multi-million dollar assets.
On the personal side, I am a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, student, mentor and friend. I’ve had a life long love affair with horses and dogs, and a few of my activities are listed below.
